Week of March 7
Next Monday there will be a quiz on vocabulary unit #14. Also included on the quiz will be questions about Kate Chopin's "A Story of an Hour" and Anne Tyler's "Teenage Wasteland." Be prepared.

Emergency Plans
- DAYS 1 and 2: Read "Eleonora" by Poe and post your reaction to the story on Nicenet.org. In addition, post any questions that you have about the story. Respond to a classmate's question.
- DAY 3: Read "The Bells" by Edgar Allan Poe and analyze the literary devices that he uses to create the poem. Put your responses in your notebook.
- DAYS 4 and 5: Read "Mending Wall" and "Birches" by Robert Frost, and then head to Nicenet.org to respond to questions. Next compare Poe's poems to Frost' poems. Which poet do you prefer and why? Type a one-page response and email it to me @ hpregional.org.
