It's been wonderful getting to know each one of you. I enjoyed reading your Bio Poems this weekend, and I think that we are going to have a great class this year.

Emergency Plans
- DAYS 1 and 2: Read "Eleonora" by Poe and post your reaction to the story on Nicenet.org. In addition, post any questions that you have about the story. Respond to a classmate's question.
- DAY 3: Read "The Bells" by Edgar Allan Poe and analyze the literary devices that he uses to create the poem. Put your responses in your notebook.
- DAYS 4 and 5: Read "Mending Wall" and "Birches" by Robert Frost, and then head to Nicenet.org to respond to questions. Next compare Poe's poems to Frost' poems. Which poet do you prefer and why? Type a one-page response and email it to me @ hpregional.org.
