Part I: Definitions and Literary Terms (1 point each for a total of 15 points)
The sources for the words are as follows: your research paper, vocabulary from A Raisin in the Sun, vocabulary from To Kill a Mockingbird, literary terms used throughout the year, and vocabulary unit #15.
Part II: Literary Passages (30 points)
Please identify six literary passages. Note the selection, the author, and the speaker. In addition, please explain the significance of the passage. Your explanation of the passage should be at least two sentences.
The passages are from The Great Gatsby, A Raisin in the Sun, To Kill a Mockingbird, and “The Devil and Tom Walker.” “The Devil and Tom Walker” is available online.
Part III: Works Cited Page (10 points)
You will create a works cited page using a selection that we read this year. Please take a copy of the book, log on to a computer in the back of the room, and create a works cited page for the book. Please print your work. Include a proper heading.
Part IV: Writing Section (70 points)
Read the directions and have some FUN. Your responses must be thoughtful, and be sure to consider your choices wisely. Demonstrate that you understand and appreciate the literature we have shared this year.
Know how to correctly punctuate dialogue.
