It's December!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but inside it's toasty and warm, and we're beginning new units in both Periods 3 and 5. After both groups finish their vocabulary work (remember that there is a quiz this Thursday), we will begin new projects. Period 3 will start Lorraine Hansberry's award-winning play, A Raisin in the Sun, and Period 5 will work on The House That Thoreau Built, a journaling experience. Period 3 will have a writing prompt based on the play, and Period 5 will work on their writing skills as they complete journal entries that were inspired by the writings of Henry David Thoreau.
