This is it. Your research paper is due next Monday, May 11. This project is worth 130 points.
Parents, please know that we have spent days finding articles, reading articles, taking notes, forming thesis statements, creating opening paragraphs, and discussing the body of the paper. The students know how to include quotes, statistics, and expert opinions to back up their arguments. They now need to spend about twenty minutes each night writing the paper. Please ask to see their work.
We will spend Wednesday through Friday in the computer lab so that the students can begin typing their papers and making corrections to their annotated bibliographies. Only students who wasted their classtime should have to spend a significant amount of time this weekend on the project. Most should only need someone to proofread their work and make corrections.
