Welcome back! I hope you had some fun over the long weekend.
Wednesday and Thursday of this week will be devoted to vocabulary development. We are working on Unit #10. After exercises 10A -10C are reviewed, you may work with a partner on the writing prompt. Friday we will share our pieces during class and start the next Study Island assignment, Sentence Structure. Next Monday you will report to the computer lab to complete 15 questions in test mode. Work until your overall score is at least 70%.
After that, let's head into a short story unit. Our first selection will be "The Devil and Tom Walker" by Washington Irving. Many of you are already familiar with his works if you have read "Rip Van Winkle" or "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."
The vocabulary quiz will be Wednesday, February 25.
