Here it is. The start of another marking period.
This week we will focus on chapters 6 and 7 of The Great Gatsby. Your first assignment of the new marking period is due this Thursday. A copy of the prompt is at the end of this entry. Be sure to hand in your rough draft as well as a good, typed copy of your response to the writing prompt.
There will also be a quiz this Friday. Be sure to study your notes and keep up with the reading assignments. Topics include imagery, social class, the Great American Dream, and extended metaphors.
Prompt: Predict which three characters will die and explain how they will meet their deaths. Note who their killers are and explain what motivates these people to commit murder. (15 points)
