This week we will read Act III of The Crucible in its entirety. We are also working on our Crucible journals. The first entry is due this Wednesday, and the second entry will be written during class this Friday. Remember that you have to write in the voice of your character. Some elements of voice include diction (word choice), detail, tone, imagery, and figurative language. Your journal entries should reflect your character's thoughts, feelings, and speech.
Homework: By Thursday everyone should read to page 110, and by Friday everyone should finish Act III.
We will discuss the end of Act III this Friday before we start writing the second journal entry.
