Period 3 will begin work on a paper based on A Raisin in the Sun. Select a character, write about that character's dream, and the obstacles that the character must overcome in order to reach his/her dream. The paper is due next Wednesday, January 9, and it is worth 95 points.
Period 5 will begin reading A Raisin in the Sun. First, let's look into United States history during the 1950s and 1960s before we read the play. Keep in mind the theme of the Great American Dream as we read, and then consider your reaction if there were obstacles that prevented you from achieving your dreams.
